Spring has officially sprung, which means it’s time to switch up skincare and makeup routines! As much as I love my tried-and-true products, I always enjoy trying out new things and discovering my new favorites. This season, I’ve been on the hunt for the latest and greatest items to add to my collection, and I’ve found some absolute gems that I can’t wait to share with you. From a smudge-proof mascara with a hilarious name to a hydrating sunscreen that feels more like a moisturizer, these products have quickly become staples in my routine. So if you’re looking to update your own beauty routine, or just curious about what’s on my face right now, read on for my top picks for this spring season.
1. Essence
Bye Bye Panda Eyes Smudge-Proof, Volumizing and Defining Mascara ($)
The name of this mascara alone was enough to make me hand my credit card over – Bye Bye Panda Eyes, goodbye to the dreaded raccoon look! But it’s not just the name that has me hooked, it’s the formula too. This affordable, under $10, mascara doesn’t smudge, doesn’t flake, and doesn’t irritate my eyes. Plus, it can be easily removed with warm water, making it a great choice for those with sensitive eyes. Another one of my favorite things about this mascara is that it holds my curls – my lashes look long and flutter all day long.
2. Beauty of Joseon
Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics ($$)
I’m a big fan of multi-purpose products, and this sunscreen fits the bill perfectly. Not only does it offer SPF 50+ protection, but it’s also hydrating and feels more like a moisturizer than a sunscreen. The packaging is pretty and minimalistic, and matches the rest of my beauty products. And as a bonus, it’s travel-friendly (under 100ml). At $20, it’s definitely worth the buy.
3. Fenty
Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting Powder ($$$)
I’ll admit, I was skeptical about this powder at first. I’ve tried countless blotting papers and powders that promised to tame my oily skin, but they always seemed to leave me feeling cakey. But this powder changed the game for me. It makes my skin look smooth and it blots shine away, without making me look like a ghost (remember Flashback Mary?). At $47, it’s definitely on the pricier side, but a little goes a long way and the compact comes with an applicator and a mirror, making it easy to apply on the go.
4. Kiehl’s Since 1851
Crème de Corps Hydrating Body Lotion with Squalane ($$$$)
I’m always on the lookout for a good body lotion. And this one from Kiehl’s is one of my favorites. The formula feels luxurious and hydrating, and the squalane helps to lock in moisture. However, if your skin is very dry, or if you have eczema, this might not be hydrating enough. They also offer a travel size for $21, so you can try it out before splurging on the full size. At $75, it’s definitely a splurge, but one that’s worth it in my opinion.
These products have been my secret weapons this spring. Of course, everyone’s skin is different, so what works for me might not work for you. But if you’re in the market for some new beauty products to try out, I highly recommend giving these a shot. Happy shopping, and here’s to glowing skin all season long!
