Despite this rollercoaster weather we’re having in Montreal, summer is here! Maybe you’re heading on a two-week trip to Europe, a little visit to the beach or maybe you’re just lounging out in your backyard. Whether you’re catching the waves or tanning at the pool this summer, make sure you include these on your checklist!

1. Sunscreen
Sunscreen so I can hit 25 and still look 25. Make sure you use a waterproof one if you’re planning on swimming (or sweating). I use this one from Ombrelle or this one from La Roche-Posay if I’m feeling fancy. Don’t forget your ears!
2. Sunglasses
Pack yourself a stylish pair of sunnies. A good pair of sunglasses can bring a cute outfit to the cute outfit. I got these from Audentiae and they’re my new favourite!
3. A Book or Your E-Reader
Don’t forget to bring your favourite book to read under the sun. I like to bring my Kindle since I can download different book titles in case I’m indecisive that day. The screen is anti-glare so it’s perfect for a sunny day. I got mine here.
4. Water
It’s important to stay hydrated. Get yourself a reusable water bottle for your trip! An insulated water bottle will keep your ice-cold water cool for hours. Extra points if it’s a cute colour like this one from Amazon.
5. Two Towels
You better not be thinking about using the same towel for your feet on your face?!? Keep your smooth skin looking flawless by making sure you’re not smearing all that sand or chlorine all over your face!
6. A Cover-Up
If you don’t want to splurge on a fancy cover-up, you can use an old button-up shirt. An airy, breathable linen shirt is my personal favourite; it makes me feel like I’m lounging on a beach in Europe. Even when I’m just in my backyard.
7. Waterproof Phone Pouch
Who doesn’t want cute pictures at the beach? Or maybe you want to capture you and your friends while you play mermaids? I make sure my phone’s safe from water with a waterproof phone pouch. That phone’s an investment so make sure you protect it from sand, dirt and water while you float your problems away. You can find lots of options on Amazon like this one.
