After having saved up for months, I rewarded myself with an iPad when I started my undergrad. I told myself that I deserved it after having made it this far. Now I carry it around with me to school: it’s my planner, my notebooks and my textbooks. Here’s a few resources that I would suggest if you’re considering switching to digital note-taking.
1. Goodnotes
I’ve been using Goodnotes for 3 years. I take notes and plan my days using the app. Now I know, the free version is limited to only 3 notebooks, which if it’s sufficient, is a great deal! (None of this is sponsored by the way.) To me, that $29.99 I paid was really worth it. I’ve worked through over 15 university courses with it. On top of that, I use it everyday to plan my weeks using a planner. That to me is $2 per course which is cheaper (and prettier) than a plain, old notebook. #GirlMath

2. Digital planner from Hemlock & Oak
Hemlock & Oak has my favourite style planners: minimalistic. The one I currently use is a timetable layout. One of my favourite things is the monthly check-in pages. Between all the stress of planning busy days, between every month is a review of the month that just passed and another page of prompts to help you mentally reset for the upcoming 30 days. They focus on wellness, mental health and habit building. It’s a nice reminder to take a break and rest.

3. Digital stickers from Dash Planner
Dash Planner also has plenty of planner templates to choose from. They also have monthly freebies that I enjoy using in my digital planner. My favourites are the sticker sets that they have for their subscribers. They’re super cute and add some personality to my minimalistic planner.

4. Front Cover Set from Bold Visionary
Goodnotes has its own wide selection of notebook covers. Sometimes, you just want to mix it up and add in your own flair. These freebies from Bold Visionary are super cute and add a little pizzaz!

5. Paper-Feel Screen Protector from Amazon
I upgraded my screen protector to a paper-feel to make writing notes smoother. The screen protector has a matte finish so it practically eliminates my issues with glare. This one comes in a pack of 2 and I couldn’t recommend it more! They’re durable to withstand my most intense note-taking and doesn’t affect my binge watching experience.

6. Apple Pencil Charger Adapter
Believe it or not, this may be the most useful item on this list. If you have the first generation model of the Apple Pencil, you’re familiar with how awkward it is to charge your tool. Too many iPad users overlook the charger adapter! It allows me to charge both my devices at the same time and avoids having to deal with a pencil sticking out of the iPad’s charging port. Do yourself a favour and charge your pencil using this instead.
Again, none of this is sponsored. I just really enjoy using these for my own personal use. One of these days, I’ll convert my sister over to the digital side. Do you use digital notes?
