Wondering what your next purchase will be? It might be one of my cold weather favourites. Here are five of my favourite skin and face products to use for this season!

1. Etude House
Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream ($$)
My skin may be oily but it still gets dry in the colder seasons. It has the best consistency in my opinion. It’s super hydrating, not sticky and has little to no fragrance. It’s definitely one of my all-time-tried favourite moisturizers. The best part of the tube is how it opens and closes and it dispenses easily with practically no mess. The packaging alone gets 5 stars from me!
2. VT
Pro Cica Centella Asiatica Tiger Clear Spot Patches ($)
I use these every time a new pimple breaks out. They’re from the endless supply I brought back from my trip to Japan although it’s a South Korean product. I tend to get breakouts when there’s a change of weather so this time of year, when the temperatures start to drop, is when I use them the most.
3. Yves Rocher
Vanilla Concentrated Shower Gel ($$)
I know, this isn’t a face product but I wanted to share the bath product that I’ve been loving lately. It’s a body wash that feeds my vanilla craze. It’s a concentrate so it’s a small bottle that works well for travelling and you’re not paying for a bottle half filled with water. It smells just like sniffing the vanilla extract you’re about to add to your cake mix. Add this to my vanilla perfume and vanilla lotion and I’ll smell like a yummy, sugary cupcake!
4. Dior
Addict Lip Tint in Natural Tea ($$$)
This lippie has been my go-to for everyday. I usually only have to apply it in the morning and it usually lasts for hours. I wouldn’t say it lasts all 12 hours as it claims, but then again, I’m not the classiest eater either. It’s not a very vibrant red; as the name hints, it gives off a natural red tint to my lips that I love. A big plus is how smooth it applies and how good it smells!
5. Vaseline
Vaseline Lip Therapy Original Balm ($)
I know it’s basic, I know it looks boring, but it’s tried and true. Personally, I prefer squeeze-tube lip products because dipping my finger in a pot gives me the ick. My long nails said no. I’ll use this lip balm in the morning, at night, but my favourite way to use it is over a lip tint, it’s a gloss that isn’t sticky and that hydrates your lips. I can’t survive the cold seasons without it. Goodbye cracked and chapped lips!
There you have it! My holy grails for this season. If you smell vanilla, I might be lurking around the corner, but you won’t catch me with chapped lips this fall! Let me know if you give any of these a try.
