In my opinion, fall is the prettiest season of the year. Although, this opinion changes every season… With the leaves turning and temperatures dropping, it’s the perfect excuse to upgrade your wardrobe. Here are 5 items you should add to your wardrobe this season.

1. A classic trench coat
Trench coats are great for layering and can be easily dressed up or down. Pair it with a hoodie for a warm and casual look. Or wear it to work as the piece to give the ordinary work attire a step up. A classic trench coat can liven up an overly-repeated outfit.
2. A leather jacket
Just like the trench coat, a leather jacket is another classic piece for fall. The fabric adds some edge and texture. Try on an asymmetrical zip-up or a leather bomber jacket, and see which one suits you best.

3. Warm Crew Socks
Ankle socks are out – sorry, Millennials. Get yourself some crew socks this season. They’re warmer, cozier and so much cuter. You can even find a pair that shows off your personality with scalloped or frilled edges! My recommendation is the HeatTech Socks from Uniqlo.
4. Resistant tights
The temperature’s dropping, but it doesn’t mean you have to put away all your summer clothing! Layer on a pair of tights and stretch the use of your shorts and skirts.
Try these tights from Sheertex. They’re rip-resistant and you won’t end up with your toe poking out after one wear.
5. Hand cream
No matter how oily your skin is, you’re going to need a good hand cream. It will prevent skin dryness and cracking. It also helps to prevent your hands from looking twice your age. (I bet you’re paying more attention to your hands now, huh?)
Try this one from La Roche Posay.
BONUS: Headphones
I know this isn’t a “must”, but it’s a great accessory. It’s cute, it’s functional and it keeps your ears warm as the weather gets colder!
Sweater weather, colourful leaves, and warm drinks – what’s not to love? What’s your go-to fall essential?
