Nothing hurts more than getting obsessed with a TV show, only to find out it’s been canceled. But today, we’re celebrating the wins!
These 12 TV series have been officially renewed, which means more drama, more laughs, more chaos—and I, for one, cannot wait!
Beef (Season 2)
If season 1 taught us anything, it’s that rage can take you to some wild places! Now season 2 is coming soon, and I know it’s going to be just as intense, if not more.
Plus, Jonnie “Dumbfounded” Park is part of the writers’ room for this season, and if you’ve been following his rap, acting, and podcast careers, you know it’s going to be really good!
Genre: Drama, comedy, romance, thriller
Where to watch: Netflix
My Life with the Walter Boys (Season 2)
If you’re obsessed with rom-coms like I am, this is the love triangle that everyone is talking about, and it’s far from over! Jackie’s still torn between two Walter boys, and season 2 promises even more romance, drama, and swoon-worthy moments.
Will she finally make a choice? I can’t wait to see! (People who’ve read the books, please don’t spoil it for me!).
Genre: Teen drama, romance
Where to watch: Netflix
Nobody Wants This (Season 2)
I love Kristen Bell (especially in The Good Place!), and now she’s back for another season of Nobody Wants This!
The series follows her character, Joanne, an agnostic sex podcaster, and Noah, a newly single rabbi, as they navigate their wildly different lives and families. Season 2 is on the way, and can’t wait to see how their unique love story unfolds!
Genre: Romantic comedy, comedy drama
Where to watch: Netflix
Paradise (Season 2)
This show is so good, I binged the whole first season in just 2 days! I don’t want to spoil too much, so all I’ll say is this: a secret service agent is investigating the murder of a former president in a seemingly peaceful community.
With amazing actors like Sterling K. Brown, and James Marsden, a great soundtrack, plus all the suspense and intrigue you could want, you’ll be hooked from start to finish!
Genre: Drama, mystery, political thriller, post-apocalyptic, science fiction
Where to watch: Disney+
Running Point (Season 2)
As soon as I saw that Brenda Song AKA the London Tipton was in Running Point, I had to watch it! In this sports comedy, Isla Gordon unexpectedly becomes the president of her family’s basketball team, the Los Angeles Waves, and now has to prove herself in a male-dominated world (we all know the struggle).
Also, fun fact: Did you know the series is produced by Jeanie Buss, the actual owner of the Los Angeles Lakers?
Genre: Comedy, sports
Where to watch: Netflix
Alice in Borderland (Season 3)
If you loved Squid Game, you’ll definitely want to check this show out. Arisu and his friends find themselves in a parallel Tokyo, where they must compete in deadly games (each game is tied to a suit from a deck of cards, and is seriously beyond intense) to survive and keep their “visas” from expiring.
If you’re into thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat, Alice in Borderland is a must-watch!
Genre: Thriller, action, survival, science fiction, drama
Where to watch: Netflix
Severance (Season 3)
Imagine if your work life and personal life were completely separated. In Severance, employees at Lumon Industries undergo a procedure that creates two distinct selves: their “innie” work persona and their “outie” personal life. With a mysterious, cult-like company and plot twists you’ll never see coming, TBH, it’s probably the best show I’ve ever watched. If you still haven’t seen Severance, what are you waiting for?
P.S.: Watch out for melon parties and waffle parties—it’s as weird as those sound!
Genre: Science fiction, thriller, mystery, drama
Where to watch: Apple TV
Squid Game (season 3)
Squid Game definitely left its mark on pop culture. We all know how it made dalgona candy famous. Plus, who could forget the year nearly everyone dressed up as player 456 for Halloween?
The last season got us all trying to play gonggi (yes, I played too) and kept us hooked with its intense plot, shocking twists, and a lingering thirst for player 456’s revenge. Seriously, I can’t scroll through TikTok without landing on some sort of conspiracy theory about what happens next. I can’t wait to see what season 3 has in store!
Genre: Thriller, drama, action, survival, mystery
Where to watch: Netflix
XO, Kitty (season 3)
XO, Kitty is my feel-good show. I play it almost every week in the background while I work, and it never gets old. And let’s be real, it always gets me giggling and kicking my feet!
Long story short: Kitty from To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before moves to Seoul to attend the Korean International School of Seoul (KISS) and be with her boyfriend, Dae… only to realize love isn’t as simple as she thought.
And between you and me? If you’ve seen season 2, you know I’m dying to see her finally get together with you-know-who!
Genre: Teen romance, comedy, drama
Where to watch: Netflix
The Bear (season 4)
Yes, chef! The Bear is serving up a 4th season, and Carmy’s dream of fine dining is pushing his team to their breaking point. Can they keep it together, or will it all fall apart? I honestly don’t know.
But what I do know is that you’ll love The Bear‘s beautiful cinematography, and everything you’ll learn about working in a restaurant. This show has me labeling everything in my kitchen with green painter’s tape (IYKYK) and rethinking my oven mitts—because apparently, real chefs don’t even use them?!
Genre: Drama, comedy
Where to watch: Disney+
Abbott Elementary (season 5)
I’m always itching for the next episode of Abbott Elementary. It’s just that hilarious!
The show is set in Philadelphia, and brings lots of heart and humour to the everyday life of teachers in a public school. Fun fact: The series was created by Quinta Brunson, and is inspired by her mom’s 40-year career as a teacher.
Honestly, the perfect balance of laugh-out-loud moments and feel-good vibes makes this one of my favourite weekly watches.
Genre: Comedy, mockumentary, sitcom
Where to watch: Netflix
Emily in Paris (season 5)
Emily in Paris makes me wanna work in Europe for a year—just like Emily, but without the love triangles!
The show mixes fashion, romance, and career as Emily moves from Chicago to Paris (and now to Rome!), all while tackling her job at a marketing firm. And honestly, I can’t get enough of Emily and Camille’s outfits every episode—I wish that was my closet!
Genre: Romantic comedy, drama
Where to watch: Netflix
What’ll happen to the innies in Severance? Who will Jackie choose in My Life with the Walter Boys? Will Arisu and the Alice in Borderland gang make it out alive? Will Kitty and Min Ho finally get together in XO, Kitty? And what’s next for Emily in Emily in Paris?
I can’t wait to see where these stories go! Let me know which renewal has you most excited in the comments.
See you next season!
