Even though Montreal is still getting snow in the middle of April, Spring is here! Which also means that flowers are blooming and ready to be gifted.
And yes, it’s the thought that counts, but let’s be real: not all flower bouquets are created equal. At least, not in my books. So here’s what different flowers say to me…
1. Roses
This is the foolproof flower. It’s a classic bouquet. Even if roses aren’t someone’s favourite, you can’t go wrong with roses.
Oh unless they’re allergic, I guess.
2. Daisies
Specifically dyed daisies. A classic daisy is so cute and youthful. But dyed daisies? You hate me, don’t you?
3. Orchids
OH so you think I can garden? *Debby Ryan smirk*
To be honest, I can barely take care of myself. I don’t know how I can care for an orchid. But I LOVE that you think so highly of me!
4. Lego Flowers
OH so you think I CAN’T garden?
Actually, I would like to know why you decided that I need to work for my flowers. Because this is going to take me good lighting and more patience than I have. (especially with these nails 💅)
*Unless I explicitly expressed that I would like a flower Lego set. In that case, I LOVE IT!
5. Tulips
Tulips are my ✨favourite✨
They’re so dramatic when they droop, and they photograph beautifully. They’re the ultimate clean-girl flower.
6. Peonies
It’s giving classy. It’s giving that girl. It’s giving RICH.
