It’s no secret that fashion trends love to vacation in Europe before making their way here. And just like the temperatures this year, the style forecast is hot!
This summer is all about effortless style with a twist. The return of “go see” outfits, a new wave of coastal prep, and playful silhouettes. Whether you’re channeling your inner Andie Anderson or dressing for your dream boat day, here’s what’s trending this season.
1. “Go See” outfits are back
The off-duty model look is trending and I’m not mad about it! We’re seeing more people rocking classic combos. Think: well-fitted trousers, high-quality basics and clean silhouettes.
This is an simple way to style yourself. These pieces may be simple, but look effortlessly put-together if styled right.
2. Butter yellow is that girl
I’ve seen her everywhere. Not just in clothing, but I’ve been seeing butter yellow water bottles, baseball hats, sunglasses, phone cases…
I swear it all started when we collectively tried to find a dupe for that iconic yellow dress Andie wears in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
3. There’s a new wave of coastal prep
Nautical influence is back: stripes, fresh and airy linen button-downs… Think East Coast boat day!
Ralph Lauren is in again (as if it was ever out!), and the iconic teddy bear has taken over my Pinterest feed. Personally I’m loving the navy and how it has that “quiet luxury” energy.
4. They dropped the waist
High rise has been our closet essential for a while. But lately we’re making space for its rebellious little sister: the low rise.
This isn’t just denim, but skirts and dresses too. Drop-waist dresses are trending, and I haven’t been happier for us short-torso girlies!
5. Bubble skirts are blowing up
Ballerina core is still in. I call this one the toned-down tutu. It really gives your look personality with its fun bubbly volume.
Personally it’s not my go-to. I prefer a wide-leg pant or a fluffy tulle moment. But I’ve seen people pull this off so well, and it’s so cute and playful!

Whether you’re team butter yellow or rocking the low-rise look, don’t forget: your clothes should fit you, not the other way around.
Here’s to a summer of feeling good, looking good, and dressing like the main character you are!
